Bio: Aaron Jessup has been studying, practicing, and teaching awareness development for over 15 years. He had the good fortune to be personally mentored for a decade by Jeru Kabbal, creator of The Clarity Process©, a synthesis of psychology, meditation and breath-work. Since 2000, Aaron has led a diversity of outdoor adventure activities such as backpacking, rock climbing, skiing, snowshoeing, whitewater rafting/kayaking, and ecology/natural history tours. He worked as a trip leader and whitewater raft guide for organizations including the Feather River Outings Group, Adventure Outings, Adventures Cross-Country, Living Waters Recreation, and Mother Lode River Trips. Aaron attained his Associate of Arts degree in Outdoor Recreation Leadership from Feather River College. After receiving a full scholarship from the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation Aaron went on to earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Recreation Administration from California State University, Chico. In addition to his love of nature, Aaron has spent many years teaching and performing. A second-generation professional juggler, Aaron grew up helping his father in his comedy, juggling and unicycle act. When he was 16 years old, after years of being a pulled “randomly” out of the audience as a “volunteer,” Aaron created his own one-man comedy, juggling and rope-walking show, which he went on to perform on several continents in venues such as street performing festivals, circuses, comedy clubs and cruise ships. While still in high school, Aaron taught juggling classes for Santa Rosa Junior College. He later taught circus skills to children as a featured cast member of Make*A*Circus. Aaron has been teaching contact improvisation dance throughout the U.S. since 1997. A long time bodyworker (with a private practice in San Francisco bay area), Aaron also taught for a year at the Boulder College of Massage therapy. Aaron continues to be fully engaged with his growth and learning process. In 2006 he completed a year-long training at the Wilderness Awareness School, where he studied wilderness survival skills, animal tracking and ecology. In 2007 Aaron was evaluated in Animal Track and Sign Interpretation by CyberTracker Conservation and received his “Track & Sign Level One” certification.
