From a young age Aaron was drawn to the healing arts. His first
hands-on training was in 1990 - Reiki Level I and II. After suffering
a serious circus injury, he decided to study more intensively and
in 1993 completed the National Holistic Institute's 500-hour massage
program.
In 2001 he studied Hanna Somatic Education, an interactive bodywork
and movement education approach designed to help clients help themselves.
Aaron has over 15 years of bodywork experience as well as extensive
training in associated arts such as acrobatics, dance, yoga and
meditation. Aaron sees every body as a miracle of creation and
would consider himself honored to work with you.
From Aaron Jessup:
People often ask me, “What kind of bodywork do you do?”
I can honestly say that, after almost 20 years of putting my hands
on bodies, I have no idea!
My original massage training is in Swedish, Deep Tissue, Shiatsu,
Sports Massage and Reflexology. However, over the years I've intensively
studied circus acrobatics, contact improvisation dance, martial
arts and yoga – all of which informs my current work. After realizing
the limitations of traditional bodywork, I supplemented my education
with Hanna Somatic Education, a gentle, interactive approach designed
to help clients help themselves.
So instead of telling you “what I do,” I'll let a few of my clients
tell you what their experiences have been.
Testimonials:
Aaron is the best massage therapist I've ever encountered. With
joint soreness, especially in my hips, Aaron's therapeutic
work has made me feel rejuvenated and spry. His commitment
to his work, as well as his conscientious attitude allows me to
relax and fully benefit from his massage.
- M. Petri, General Manager,
Alfred's Steakhouse
Firstly, as a woman, I really like that Aaron asked for specific
feedback on his work, and that he often said “thank you” to me
when I gave it to him. Aaron's words, his manner and his touch
all helped me relax and encouraged me to feel comfortable asking
for what I needed. The combination of stretching and massage really
helped me with an ongoing back problem I had.
-Margaret B, Banker
I have traveled a lot and have tried many massage therapists in
many places, but Aaron Jessup is - by far - the best massage therapist
I've ever met.
-Y. Georgiou, Lawyer
Before I started seeing Aaron Jessup on a weekly basis, my neck
was in constant pain. I couldn't turn my head in either direction.
I couldn't look up at all, and for almost ten years I had to take
painkillers just to fall asleep at night. I had seen all kinds
of specialists, from Chiropractors to Massage Therapists, from
Acupuncturists to Osteopathic Doctors, and no one could help me.
In just a few months of working with Aaron, I regained a normal
range of motion in my neck. I know most people take this for granted,
but for me it's a miracle to be able to look up, down and side
to side. Perhaps the most amazing thing is that I am now able to
sleep without the use of drugs.

Aaron understands my injury provides massage therapy that focuses
on the areas that ultimately benefit me. Not only does he listen
and understand his client's needs and provide wonderful treatments,
he does so while making me feel very comfortable and relaxed.
