Past Trips:
Dear Aaron,
Thank you for the Body, Mind and Spirit backpacking
trip! I must first say that this trip was a joy and will
definitely inspire me to spend more time outdoors…
I got a lot out of the whole experience and learned
a great deal. Aaron, your instruction on plants, animals,
tracking, building fires, making shelters, respectfully
gathering natural materials… as well as water, its purification,
etc was fabulous. I particularly enjoyed seeing the animal
tracks and sign left behind by the various creatures
that lived in the area. Your knowledge of nature and
the area, and your confidence in yourself made me feel
at ease in this environment with you as a leader. I got
a lot out of the meditations and exercises, not to mention
the time we had as a group around the campfire having
deep conversations and giving massages.
The trip was very well organized and, even with a surprise
in the weather, we were prepared for what came our way.
The food was excellent. The menu was well thought out
and we definitely never went hungry.
I can't think of a better way to bond with a group of
people. Everyone had a great attitude and worked together – when
all was said and done, I felt much closer to everyone
involved.
My deepest memories of the trip are of the beauty that
is this Earth, my senses being opened, the depth of my
experience and how the whole thing brought me closer
to nature.
Would I recommend it? You bet! Would I do it again?
For sure, when do we go?

Contact Improvisation:
As an organizer for Northern California Dance Collective,
I have enjoyed many of Aaron's classes over the years
in Contact Improvisation, Juggling and Wilderness Dance. He
is one of our gold star teachers - an excellent teacher
with a versatile teaching repertoire who is supportive
of the community aspect of our events. His classes are
well organized and fun. He creates a safe, positive
and encouraging environment for students to take risks
and learn new things.

Dancing/Nature:
Aaron's "Dancing in Nature" class was a memorable experience, particularly
exploring nature whilst blindfolded. Aaron's approach is filled with consideration
for his students, which is evident by the careful and compassionate choice
of words he uses that allowed me to feel relaxed and safe, at the same time
inviting me to stretch my edge however I chose. I am looking forward to more
classes with him.

There's something truly unique and vitalizing about an outdoor
experience where a group of moving artists are safely
led to a place of deep trusting and spontaneous artistic connection
with each other and the environment. Aaron facilitates
this kind of space.
